Downtown Statesboro adds a new baby boutique to its list of enrichment and shopping opportunities with Little Harts. Owned by Cali Thomas and Parker Newhart, Little Harts will offer affordable, timeless baby and toddler clothes as well as monogram embroidery by Lovey’s Designs, which Vali Anderson owns. Little Harts will have its ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 21, 2025.
Inspiration for the boutique stemmed from Thomas’s experiences as a mother and realizing a need in the community for children’s clothing. “Becoming a mother got me into the baby clothes world. I didn’t realize how big it was, but I wanted the cutest outfits for my daughter,” said Thomas. Influenced by her grandmother’s appreciation of timeless and whimsical designs, Thomas decided to model the interior of her store after this inspiration. “My grandmother’s house was a historic home with charm, wallpaper, and little treasures that brought nostalgia; that’s the feel I want for Little Harts.”
The owner designs every piece of clothing at Little Harts. “Each piece of clothing is thoughtfully designed in-house, and then I work with a manufacturer to bring them to life. It’s cool to see it all come together,” said Thomas. She mentioned that finding a manufacturer that fit with her brand was a journey, taking months of research and trials, but she is proud to offer high-quality products that stand apart.
Little Harts will primarily feature Thomas’s original designs; however, it will also carry brands and collections, including the Feltman Brothers, for their timeless appeal. Customers can expect a wide variety of high-quality, stylish baby clothing priced between $35 and $42. Additionally, Lovey’s Designs will have a studio in the store, offering quick turnaround times for personalized monogramming.
Thomas chose to locate her store in the heart of Statesboro because she aims to be more than a boutique. She wants her store to contribute to the community. “I want this to be an experience where people can come, hang out, and enjoy themselves,” said Thomas. “I see a huge future for Statesboro and am excited to meet lots of people and give them something to do on a Saturday.”
Little Harts boutique is located at 16 S. Main St. across from Cool Beanz Espresso Bar. It will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, February 21, at 10 a.m. the community is invited to attend. Hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Follow their Facebook and Instagram for more information.
